Illusion

We live an illusion of reality where most of it isn’t really there. When we look at the massive objects around us, they seem to be solid and yet, if we see them at the microscopic level, they are just air. There is not much there but an atomic nucleus and electrons and huge amounts of empty space in between.

The same is true when we look at the future and realize that it doesn’t exist yet. It is a possibility that may or may not happen. When we look at the past, we realize that it doesn’t exist anymore and whatever happened, we cannot change. The present is that thin boundary between the future and the past, so infinitely thin that it would seem not to exist either. Everything that we perceive in the present has occurred already, from a few milliseconds to billions of years ago. What we get to see in the present, is the past.

All the kingdoms of life on earth are the product of extreme, sophisticated engineering. One of the characteristics of life is its ability to adapt to changes in its environment in order to survive.

The fact that life continuously builds and creates more life goes against the natural tendency of the elements to decay and equalize at the lowest level of energy. Life is a fine example of the products of intelligence.

About Motherhood

Motherhood is mostly spiritual. It also has to do with daily chores like cooking, cleaning and other concerns of the flesh, and in that sense, a mother brings security and predictability in a family.

Though, the most memorable aspect of motherhood is the loving, spiritual experience that creates an environment where the sacred is possible. Being "in the world," a mother helps her loved ones experience what is sacred and spiritual, elevating them in the process to make contact with what is sacred and pure.
